With menorrhagia, every period causes enough blood loss and cramping that many women can't maintain their usual activities. If you have menstrual bleeding so heavy that you dread your period, talk with your doctor about your treatment options.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

As with all surgical procedures, there are risks and considerations associated with use of the AEGEA Vapor System.  Please refer to the device labeling for a detailed discussion of the device’s intended use, relevant warnings, precautions, side effects, and contraindications.

The AEGEA Vapor System works by eliminating endometrium (the lining of the uterus) with natural water vapor
The endometrium is the source of heavy menstrual bleeding in women who have not yet reached menopause. When endometrium is eliminated, it can no longer re-grow to cause excessive or monthly bleeding.

Treatment with the AEGEA Vapor System is only for women who no longer want to have children in the future.

Treatment with the AEGEA Vapor System is designed to be done at the doctor’s office or clinic without making incisions or using general anesthesia that puts you to sleep.
1 First, your doctor will gently insert the slender, soft tip of the AEGEA Vapor Probe into your uterus.
2 Three balloons automatically inflate to seal the uterus and secure the probe. The uterine cavity safety tests are completed before vapor treatment begins.
3 Delivery of vapor is carefully controlled to treat the lining of your uterus with a treatment time of 2 minutes.
4 At the end of the procedure, the balloons automatically deflate, and the Vapor Probe is removed.
