Mara works by eliminating the endometrium (the lining of the uterus) with natural water vapor. The endometrium is the source of heavy menstrual bleeding in women who have not yet reached menopause. When the endometrium is eliminated, it can no longer re-grow to cause heavy monthly bleeding Treatment with Mara is only for women who no longer want to have children in the future.

Treatment with Mara is designed to be done at the doctor’s office or clinic without making incisions or using general anesthesia.
1 First, the slender, soft tip of the Mara Vapor Probe is gently inserted into the uterus.
2 Three balloons automatically gently inflate to seal the uterus and secure the probe. The uterine cavity safety tests are completed before water vapor treatment begins.
3 Delivery of water vapor is carefully controlled to treat the lining of your uterus with a treatment time of 2 minutes.
4 At the end of the procedure, the balloons automatically deflate, and the Vapor Probe is removed.
